  • DESIGNER CHAMIAH DEWEY KNOWS SHORT STATURE PEOPLE DESERVE FASHIONABLE CLOTHES THAT FIT

Origin Story

Chamiah's journey with DEWEY took root in her childhood dream of creating empowering fashion for women, blossoming into reality in 2020. Inspired by a connection with a person of short stature in 2018, she recognised the overlooked challenges faced by those under 5ft in the fashion world.

While pursuing an Enterprise Diploma at UAL and working full time, and armed with £43,576 from awards, grants, and her life savings, Chamiah successfully launched the debut DEWEY collection, quickly selling out and garnering substantial media acclaim.

Responding to user feedback and market trends, DEWEY expanded its mission to embrace extra petite individuals (4'6" - 5ft), a strategic move rooted in inclusivity. This not only addressed unmet needs but also fostered a stronger DEWEY community, setting new standards for empowerment in the realm of fashion.
